How much commitment and how far does HEAT travel?
2024/25 each team practiced 4 hours per week and the furthest we went was Spooky Nook, Pennsylvania. You can expect the same for 2026
How long is the season?
We will begin practices the week of Dec 1 and finish at the end of April or beginning of May.
Where will practices be held?
Champions Sportsplex
What if my child plays another sport/instrument/has a job?
Be upfront. We are flexible with allowing athletes attend other practices but NOT the week leading up to a tournament.
What age groups will you have this year?
2024/25 we had two U15 teams, U16, and U17 It really depends on who comes to tryouts! We make teams based on that.
Who will coach for HEAT in 2025/26?
Coach Melissa, U16 head coach last year, moved up with her team and coached U17.Coach Alyssa, experienced and new to the area, coached U15 National. Coach Julie headed up the U16's. For 2025 it all depends on what teams we have. We match the coach to the team they will make the most impact.
How much does it cost to play for HEAT travel?
2024/25 cost was $2400 included 7 tournaments. We will stay around that price for 2026
How much do uniforms cost?
2024/25 the cost was $75 for 2 uniforms
What other costs will I encounter?
Tryout, membership to USAV, hotel (if you choose to stay), and tournament entry fees for family members.
